Pets belong to five genus groups. The Taiwan official guide describes analysis with Soul Crystals and Kina, and says locking a result raises the cost. It does not publish a universal price table for every version here.

A useful map needs exact, checked positions, patch context and a lawful data source. We currently have named regional clues for Zaif and Papis from a community catalog, but no independently verified coordinates. This guide therefore shows route cards instead of invented pins.

FARM PRIORITIES
Choose what to farm next.
A useful target depends on availability, region and the Genus progress you already have. Use these priorities before chasing a named pet; no drop rates or stat advantages are implied.
Claim available rewards first
Check current events, quests and merchant options in your client. The Zaif/Papis pre-registration box was a 2025 promotion, so do not assume new accounts can claim it now.
Fill the gap you can prove
Compare your owned genera, available soul routes and the in-game Genus screen. A reachable missing pet can be more useful to your plan than a rare, unverified target.
Confirm the spawn before travel
Use a source with a region and recent patch context, then verify the mob in game. Treat community map coordinates as leads until checked.

Are there more than 200 AION 2 pets?

Does Genus Insight apply to all characters?
NCSOFT said its 7 January 2026 update changed pet ownership and Genus Insight to server-wide sharing. Verify the behavior in your current region and client version. Official update ↗
Where do pet souls come from?
The official Taiwan guide describes monster hunting and rewards as acquisition routes. Exact monsters, positions, chance and event availability differ by pet; use the linked source on each record and confirm it in the game. Official guide ↗
Why is there no interactive map yet?
We have not verified coordinates or secured a reusable location dataset for a commercial site. A map with guessed pins would send players to the wrong place. The acquisition cards above show the regional evidence we do have.
