AION 2 Spacetime Rift Timer

The Taiwan official guide describes ordinary Spacetime Rift portals on a three-hour cycle beginning at 02:00 server time, with a 15-minute opening window. Use the reference countdown below to plan a start; confirm the live portal and its entry state in game.

This page's documented schedule applies to the Taiwan service. Korea is a separately labelled community reference. For Global and EU, use an observed start rather than assuming Taiwan's schedule.

When does an ordinary Spacetime Rift open?

The Taiwan guide states that a portal appears every three hours and gives 02:00 as the first example. Expanding that cadence yields 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00 and 23:00 in Taiwan server time. The eight-time list is our calculation from the stated interval, not an eight-row official timetable. The schedule and time-zone guide shows the UTC conversions and calendar-day examples.

Does the timer show the entry deadline?

No. The large number counts down to the next reference start. The official Taiwan guide says an ordinary portal remains open for 15 minutes, but it can have a participant cap. The game message and active map marker are the practical way to find an opening; a calculated time alone cannot prove that a portal is still accepting entry. Rift Contest is a separate event with a 10-minute entry period in the same guide. Do not apply that 10-minute rule to an ordinary rift.

What should I check before travelling?

  1. Choose the service you play and compare its next in-game start with this reference.
  2. When the game announces a portal, open the map and locate the current marker; a static diagram is not a live spawn map.
  3. Travel early enough for the entry window and be ready for a possible capacity limit.
  4. If the reference differs from the game, follow the game's event panel and revisit the accuracy notes.

NC Taiwan official Spacetime Rift guide, displayed update 2026-09-16, checked 2026-10-15. It documents the Taiwan ordinary cycle, 15-minute portal window, map announcement and separate Rift Contest rule. This is a reference calculation, not a live game connection or proof that a later patch has not changed the schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Is a rift open when the countdown reaches zero?

Not necessarily. Zero is a calculated reference start. Check the in-game system message and map marker for a live portal and available entry.

Can I use the Taiwan 02:00 start for EU or Global?

Only if your own service's current event panel independently confirms the same cycle and anchor. The Taiwan guide alone does not establish those regions' schedule.
