AION 2 Rift Schedule & Time Zones

The Taiwan reference cycle starts at 02:00 server time and repeats every three hours. Below are the expanded eight daily starts, UTC conversions and examples of calendar-day changes. Korea uses a separately labelled community reference.

Read server time and local time separately

The reference openings are 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00 and 23:00. Korea uses UTC+9 and Taiwan UTC+8 in the presets. An identical server-clock hour therefore corresponds to a different real-world moment in each region.

Calibrate a different service

Use Custom, choose the server’s UTC offset and select a first opening of 00:00, 01:00 or 02:00. These three anchors cover a repeating three-hour cycle. Compare the result with the next event shown in game. If it disagrees, do not rely on a reminder until you have corrected the reference.

Handle maintenance and daylight saving

A fixed UTC offset does not model a server whose clock changes seasonally. Recheck the offset after a clock change and after maintenance notices. Your device’s local-time conversion follows its configured time zone, so an incorrectly configured device can also produce an incorrect displayed time.

What has now been checked officially?

The Taiwan guide, updated September 17, 2026, describes a three-hour cycle beginning at 02:00 and a 15-minute ordinary portal window. Its parenthetical example lists 02:00, 05:00 and 11:00 rather than every start. The eight-row table expands the stated cycle; it is not a verbatim eight-time official list. The Korea anchor remains a community reference.

Worked conversion: an opening on different calendar days

A Taiwan reference opening at 02:00 on October 12 is 18:00 UTC on October 11. At a fixed UTC−4 offset it is 14:00 on October 11. The server day and local day are therefore different even though the calculation is correct. Use the date and time-zone label together when sharing a plan; “02:00 tomorrow” can mean a different moment to another player.

Use Custom when the game disagrees

Suppose your service shows its next start at 12:00 on a fixed UTC+2 clock. Choose Custom, UTC+2 and the 00:00 anchor: its cycle includes 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00 and 12:00. The 01:00 anchor covers hours 01, 04, 07 and so on; 02:00 covers 02, 05, 08 and so on. These are mathematical calibration examples, not new regional game schedules. Check two successive game starts before trusting a newly chosen reference.

Frequently asked questions

Are the eight Taiwan times copied verbatim from the guide?

No. The official guide gives the three-hour interval and example hours; the table expands that stated cycle across a day.

Does a fixed UTC offset handle daylight saving?

No. Recheck a custom server offset when that service changes its clock. The displayed device-local time uses your browser’s configured time zone.
